Just as you update the software on your computer, so too, does your BlackBerry software need to be updated. The 4.0 version on your device should be updated to 4.1.
What version do you have? Scroll to the Options icon (wrench) and click the trackwheel. Select the About option and click the trackwheel. The third line of text should display your software version.
