    Photography and Humanitarian Work

So, I was talking to my friend and he said that Seattly U has an amazing humanitarian feel to most classes and the campus in general.  Previously, I hadn't any real interest in Seattle U until I heard this, if his statement is correct, this could be the perfect school for me! (excited happy face!!! :-D)

My career goals include both photography and humanitarian work, so I was wonderding if anyone knew if there are any ties between humanitarian projects and the Fine Arts major, specifically in photography.

Also, any information about Seattle U's humanitarian work would be great, thanks!!!

    One more quick question...
any details about your study abroad program that perhaps arn't specified on line?

    Re: Photography and Humanitarian Work

Kate, as a Jesuit university, we wholeheartedly embrace social justice and humanitarian work.  Many of our students will do service abroad (our Engineers without Borders continues to build dwellings in rural Thailand, our nursing students run clinics in Belize, etc), involve themselves in the Seattle community (our accounting majors can give free tax advice to lower income families), etc.

As for photography, we have a photography emphasis with our Fine Arts major.  As to combining your passions, you may be able to find a study abroad program that accommodates you, or you could find other students on campus to find a joint project.

I'd really invite you to come visit campus to learn a bit more about our mission and our philosophy of education.
