    When to transfer

I unfortunately didn't take my Freshman semester very seriously so it's going to take 5 semesters to finish my associate's and my career GPA is only a 3.2. I had only planned to be in the small town I'm in for 4 semesters and then transfer out.

Would it be better to transfer before my associate's or just wait it out, get my GPA up and transfer in the Spring semester?

    Eurus,

It really depends on you - there are advantages to getting a Washington State DTA associates degree, and advantages to moving out of a situation you're not happy with.  It also depends on what program you want to apply for at Seattle University.

    Advantages of the AA degree:
90 credits, junior standing if you are accepted.
3.5+ GPA qualifies for merit-based scholarship (articulation scholarship)
some CORE requirements waived if you have not completed them.
After 1+ years of college credit, we stop looking at your high school scores and GPA.

    Advantages of transfering sooner:
    getting out of unproductive environment
