Developer preview release of the next full version of Mozilla Firefox
was released today. From what I have seen in online commentary
thus far (which is pretty limited) it will have changes to tabbed
browsing, improved bookmarking (using an integrated database --
SQLite), and hopefully a smaller memory footprint.
It does *not*
pass the ACID II test, but seeing as how Opera only was able to do it
in a build specifically designed just to pass the test--a build that
has specific features just to pass the test that later will most likely
not make it into a release--its not such a big deal that the test isn't
passed.
