Newbie to Bellarmine (lots of questions)

YAY I'm the first one to post a topic here! I'm an incoming froshie! Anyway, I was wonder about what previous/current Bellarmine residents thought/think of their stay.

    What floor were/are you on?

    How was the view?

    Was it a themed floor?

Any tips of advice for dorm living/ adjusting to college?

Is a trash can provided in the room?

At what time do most people try to get into the showers?

What are the kicks off being in the center of campus or does it make you lazy? Wink [;)]

What's your favorite dining hall/cafe on campus?

What stores/restaurants that should I to definitely check out near campus?

    Thanks! -Aimee

Re: Newbie to Bellarmine (lots of questions)

Ok, let me see if I can answer all your questions!

I lived in Bellarmine my freshman and sophomore years (floor 4 and 6 respectively).

Both times my view was of the library, which was great.  Much more quiet than the street side.

Tips-Bring shower-ready flip-flops for sanitary reasons.  If you live on an all girls floor, you will have a better chance of getting a shower at all times, but otherwise, it isn't hard to find a shower.  Sometimes if they were cleaning the bathrooms or they were all taken (random times it would be busy, you really can't schedule a good time), I would hop in the elevator and go to a different floor and take a shower there.

No trash can provided but you can bring one!

I loved living so close to campus!! Bellarmine was closest to the Student Center (where Cherry Street Market and the Hawk's Nest Bistro are), so I enjoyed just wandering down the elevator and down a little street to get my food.  The dorms have a great sense of community and there are always things going on-so you'll never get bored.

My favorite place to eat is the Hawks Nest Bistro (or just the "Bistro")-it's like a little restaurant; they play music and make pizza's and have student performers play...it's great!

Just walk North down Broadway when you get here, that's an experience in itself.

    Hope this helps-
