my home away from home
In the past three weeks I have been in Omak, Wenatchee, Yakima, Ellensburg, Quincy, Reno, Tahoe, Roseville, Davis, Sacramento, and I will be Albuquerque and Santa Fe, next week. I started to feel like the Johnny Cash song "I've been everywhere man." I have met wonderful students in each of these cities. But today I felt a bit homesick. I was sitting in a Java Cafe drinking my White Chocolate Mocha, iced of course, reading my newspaper, and I looked out the window and noticed something peculiar. It was raining in Sacramento, I haven't been in Seattle very long, as some of you know, but I have embraced the rain that we get in Seattle so this morning I felt that I was sitting outside sitting outside Cafe Vega drinking my coffee. Next Friday, when I get home I will go out to Cafe Vega look outside the window, it will be raining of course, and I will think that I am in Sacramento. Oh the life of an Admissions Counselor. If your ever in Seattle check out Cafe Vega its a great coffee shop, http://www.cafevega.net/index.html. I have decided that in my blogs I will give you interesting facts about myself. This weeks fact I have lived in Washington for 26 years and have yet to go up the Space Needle. Adios for now.
