[Editor's note: This post is the first in a three part Q&A series with recently-elected ASSU officials. Today's interview, conducted by Spectator volunteer writer Ashley See, is with freshman representative Graham Miller. Graham beat out four other freshman candidates with 83 votes].
1. The Spectator: First off, where are you from?
Graham Miller: Straight outta Spokomton. Yuh!
2. The Spectator: What are you hoping to accomplish this year in your position?
Graham Miller: I really feel it [is] necessary to focus on the position
of freshman on campus. A well represented and formulated community is
vital in creating a successful society. My goal is to reiterate the
Seattle U. values by generating an aggressively active class, ultimately
creating tradition and rapport.
3. The Spectator: What has been your leadership experience thus far?
Graham Miller: Well, I just came off of being the Senior Class president
of a school with 2300 students. It was at times quite a bit of work,
but always a good experience.
4. The Spectator: What is your favorite aspect of attending Seattle University?
Graham Miller: The downtown city atmosphere, the close knit
community, the smaller classes, and attention to detail. I think I made
a good choice.
