Albers School's part-time MBA program has been recognized as one of the top 30 in the nation, according to US.News & World Report's 'America's Best Graduate Schools 2009".
Albers currently enrolls over 900 graduate business students, of which 80% work full-time while pursing their graduate degree in the evenings part-time. "We have highly motivated students," says William Weis, PhD, director of the MBA program and professor of management. "They are achievement-oriented people who are well-grounded in their lives and want to move up to the next challenge."

At Seattle University, all of our graduate business degrees (except for Professional Accounting, MPAC), require work experience for admission. For our incoming students in Fall of 2007, the average was 5 years of continuous full-time work experience, .
I recommend a minimum of two years of continuous full-time work experience. Why? To be successful in the classroom, we look for applicants who can share their experiences from the 'real world'. We expect our students to take what they learn in the classroom and from their peers, and apply it to their work environment. As well, to take what they learn in their work environment and apply it to their discussions in the classroom.
When making admission decisions, we consider work experience, undergraduate GPA, and the GMAT test scores. (And TOEFL for applicants where it is required)

Princeton Review has published their 2008 edition Best 290 Business Schools. Princeton Review has collected opinions of students and gathered statistical information over a three-year survey cyle, to provide information for students in helping them select the right business school. In this book they rank schools in eleven different categories.
We are pretty excited to have Seattle University's MBA program ranked #9, in the category of "Greatest Opportunity for Women". We have always been proud of the percentage of female students as well as faculty in our program. You can find details on the rankings at http://www.princetonreview.com/mba/research/rankings/rankings.asp

It’s been ages since I wrote a Blog, but reading a recent article, I decided to share some information about MBA programs.
I recently read an article in Biz Ed magazine (Jan/Feb 07 issue), called, “Investment Advice: Go for the MBA”. One of the striking findings the authors found in the survey by the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) is that an MBA degree yields an excellent return on investment (ROI) for nearly everyone. This is the case even if students did not attend a full-time, top-ranked school. What I found very interesting is that students enrolled in part-time programs have an annualized ROI of 68%, compared to 35% for executive programs, and 15% for full-time programs.
Since 80% of our students at Seattle University, are going to school part-time, we can see that the MBA provides great value for our graduates. I agree with the authors, Brooks C. Holtom and Edward J. Inderrieden, that students enrolled in evening program are seeing positive results from their investment in education.

Since we admit students on a rolling basis, students can begin their program every quarter. The next deadline is May 20 for our summer quarter, and then August 20 for fall. You can submit the application, and then submit the rest of your documents. You do not need to submit everything at once. (Hint: don't wait until deadline date to submit application!!) You can apply online, or submit a hardcopy. The online application can be found at: https://www.applyweb.com/apply/seattleg/menu.html
All your official transcripts must be sent to Graduate Admissions, Seattle University, 901 12th Avenue, PO Box 222000, Seattle, WA 98122-1090.
You can either submit your resume via email to: grad-admissions@seattleu.edu , via fax to: 206-296-5656, or 'snail mail' at the address above.
Official test GMAT and TOEFL test scores take around 3 weeks to reach us, but you can fax or email your unofficial results to admissions at the contact information above, to help speed up the application process.
I look forward to getting your application -- and contact me if you have questions. You can email me, carpms@seattleu.edu

One of the questions I get asked by prospective students, is "where and how do I schedule to take the GMAT test?"
After you have prepared for the test, you can schedule to take the GMAT test, by going to http://www.mba.com/mba You can find a list of testing sites by country, and city. If you live in the Seattle area, your closest testing site is located at the Pearson Professsional Centers - located at Oaksdale Center, 1300 S.W. 7th Street, Suite 113, Renton, WA 98055. Phone: 425-277-6690, or at the Pearson Professional Centers - Seattle (North), located at 10700 Meridian Avenue North, Suite 407, Seattle, WA 98133 (206) 417-9986.
My advice is to check out the available dates as it can get pretty busy.
There are various codes that you can select for Seattle University.
PT MBA OTM5613
FT MBA OTM5688
MSF OTM5666
MPAC OTM 5650
MIB OTM5674
Good luck with your test!
