About Mary Carpenter
I am the Director of the Albers Graduate Busienss Programs. So what does that really mean? My job entails working with prospective students, advising enrolled students, working with faculty, dean, department and program chairs with many administrative issues.
Usually the first contact folks have with me is either by email, phone, or when prospective students attend an Open House or Information Session. I work with students as they go through the admission process and then the Albers Graduate Programs Office works with advising incoming and continuing students as they go through their program.
I have been the director for nine years and at Seattle University for many more years. My family moved to Seattle in 1987 from Pennsylvania. I received my bachelor's degree from Eastern University in St. Davids, Pennsylvania (Elementary Education), and my masters degree in Education (Curriculum & Instruction) from Seattle University. So looking back I've been involved in the field of education my whole life! Amazing.
My blogs will be addressing issues and questions that I often get about our graduate business programs -- hopefully to give you a better look at Seattle University's MBA, MSF, MIB and MPAC programs.
